Storm Winds Overview
Storm Winds was one of those straightforward Flash games you'd find in the late 2000s. It didn't try to be anything more than a solid browser-based defense game. You'd load it up, and the task was immediately clear.
You control a series of turrets fixed to a base, using your mouse to aim and fire at waves of incoming aircraft. Holding the left mouse button charges your shot's power; releasing it sends a projectile arcing toward the enemy. Between assaults, you spend earned credits to purchase new turrets or repair damaged ones. The pace is methodical, building from manageable early waves to frantic later ones where ships approach from all angles. It feels like a tense calculation of angles and economy against a steadily increasing tide.
