Snowy Mario Overview
Snowy Mario was one of those Flash games you'd find on a school computer in the early 2000s. It was a simple, unofficial take on the Mario universe, built for a browser and a few minutes of fun. The graphics were basic, the music was a repetitive chip tune, and it felt perfectly of its time.
You control Mario in a winter setting, running and jumping across platforms. The main goal is to defeat enemies, but not by jumping on them. Instead, you press space to throw snowballs. Hitting an enemy once encases them in snow, turning them into a larger, rolling snowball. You can then push that snowball into other enemies to clear the screen. The controls are straightforward: arrow keys to move and jump, space to fire. The pace is quick, and the challenge comes from managing the growing snowballs while avoiding enemies yourself. It feels like a chaotic, physics-driven puzzle wrapped in a familiar character skin.
