Sheep Jumper Overview
Sheep Jumper was one of those simple Flash games you'd find on a school computer or a free gaming site. It came out during the peak of that era, when a quick browser game could fill a few minutes between tasks. The visuals were basic, just a flat landscape with a few moving parts, but that was part of its straightforward charm.
You control a dog standing on a small hill. Sheep walk toward you from the right side of the screen, and your only job is to jump over each one as it passes. You click the mouse to make the dog leap. The challenge comes from the sheep's increasing speed and the occasional irregular gaps between them. If you mistime a jump and collide with a sheep, the game ends. The pacing starts slow, almost leisurely, but it doesn't take long for the rhythm to become demanding. It feels like a test of pure, uncluttered timing, where a single lapse resets your score to zero.
