Rotting Onslaught Overview
Rotting Onslaught was one of those straightforward strategy games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, tactical challenge you could load in a browser. The game presented a simple premise without much fanfare, fitting right in with the other bite-sized experiences of that time.
You control a squad of soldiers from an overhead view, directing them across a map filled with undead enemies. Your main goal is to guide every unit to a designated extraction point, keeping them alive against waves of attackers. You click to move your troops, positioning them to defend choke points or to advance cautiously. The game often requires you to manage their formation and focus fire on larger threats. The pacing is tense, as new enemies can appear from any direction, and the difficulty comes from the sheer number of foes. It feels like a constant, scrambling effort to maintain control as your perimeter shrinks.
