Rockface Rescue Overview
Rockface Rescue was one of those straightforward Flash games you'd find in the early 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple concept that appeared on various game portals. You were the pilot, and the job was clear from the start.
You control a rescue helicopter, moving it left and right across a mountain face. Climbers are stranded on narrow ledges, and you have to lower a winch to pick them up. The challenge comes from managing your altitude and the cable's swing, trying to hook each person without scraping against the rock. After a successful grab, you fly them to a safe base camp marked on a small map. The pace is methodical, but it gets tense as you juggle fuel limits and avoid crashing into the terrain. It feels like a careful balancing act, where a single clumsy move ends the mission.
