Reverb Overview
Reverb was one of those games you'd find in the later days of Flash, a time when browser games were experimenting with mood and mystery. It didn't have the polish of a big studio release, but it pulled you in with its atmosphere. You started with nothing but questions.
You control a man who wakes up with no memory in a strange, industrial facility. Using your mouse, you click to explore each room, picking up notes and objects that slowly piece together the story. Your main goal is simply to escape, but every locked door and cryptic message makes it clear that something has gone very wrong. The mechanics are straightforward point-and-click, with inventory puzzles and environmental clues dictating your progress. The pacing is deliberate, almost tense, as you realize you are not alone. The sound design, full of distant machinery and sudden, unsettling noises, does most of the work. It feels like being watched while trying to solve a riddle in the dark.
