Pit Dwellers Overview
Pit Dwellers was one of those straightforward action games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick test of reflexes, the kind of thing you'd play for a few minutes between other tasks. The screen was simple, usually just a dark pit and your character positioned above it.
You control a lone figure, often a knight or warrior, standing at the edge of a chasm. Your job is to stop the creatures climbing out. You click on them to attack as they emerge, each successful hit sending them falling back down. The main objective is simply to survive as long as you can against the endless waves. The pace picks up steadily, with more dwellers appearing and their movements becoming less predictable. It starts calmly enough, but a moment's hesitation can let the horde overwhelm you. The game feels like a tense, repetitive battle against a tide you know will eventually win.
