Occupation Site Overview
Occupation Site was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It didn't have a big name attached to it, but it had a simple, clean look that made it easy to pick up. The goal was straightforward, and it fit right in with the kind of puzzle you'd play for a few minutes between other tasks.
You control a team of small, white figures. Your job is to claim territory on a grid by clicking on empty squares. Each click places one of your figures, and if you completely surround any of the green opponent's pieces, they convert to your color. The main objective is to cover the board with your color by the end. The game moves at a steady, thoughtful pace; you need to plan a few steps ahead to block your opponent and create large groups. It feels like a quiet, focused contest of space and enclosure.
