Magilla Gorilla - Pet Shop Cleaning Overview
Magilla Gorilla: Pet Shop Cleaning was one of those simple, straightforward games from the Flash era. It appeared online in the early 2000s, a time when you could find a cartoon-themed game for just about anything. The premise was immediately clear, based on the classic Hanna-Barbera character, and it didn't try to be more than a few minutes of distraction.
You control Magilla directly, moving him left and right across the bottom of the pet shop. Cages of different colors and patterns fall from the top of the screen. Your job is to catch them and stack them in columns before they pile up too high. The main objective is to match three or more cages of the same type in a column, which makes them disappear and clears space. You need to think about the order of your stack, as placing a red cage between two others might block a potential match. The pace starts slow but gradually increases, adding a bit of tension as the columns grow. It feels like a race against a quietly ticking clock, a simple puzzle about organizing chaos before it overflows.
