Hummer Rage Overview
Hummer Rage was one of those straightforward action games you'd find in the Flash era. It came out in 2004, a time when a simple concept and immediate playability were often enough. You took control of a heavily armed military vehicle, tasked with a clear and constant mission.
You drive the Hummer using the arrow keys, navigating a linear road that scrolls automatically. Enemy vehicles and obstacles approach from ahead, and you must destroy them with your mounted machine gun, fired with the spacebar. The main objective is to protect the infantry units following behind you; if they are destroyed, the mission fails. The game introduces occasional power-ups, like temporary invincibility or a more powerful cannon burst, to help manage the relentless waves. The pacing is insistent, and the difficulty comes from the increasing density and speed of incoming threats. It feels like a tense, focused race where your attention never leaves the road ahead.
