Highway Hunter Overview
Highway Hunter was one of those straightforward action games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, chaotic way to pass some time in a browser. The premise was simple and delivered without much fuss.
You control a car from a top-down perspective, driving along a multi-lane highway. Your main goal is to survive while causing as much destruction as possible. You use the arrow keys to weave through traffic, while other keys let you fire weapons at the vehicles around you. The police will pursue you, adding pressure as you try to outrun them and manage the escalating chaos. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as more enemies converge on your position. It feels like a tense, uncomplicated scramble where your focus narrows to the immediate threats on the road.
