Granny Catches Overview
Granny Catches was one of those simple Flash games you'd find on a school computer or a casual gaming site. It came out in the early 2000s, a time when a quick browser game was a perfect distraction. You didn't need instructions; the title and the screen told you everything.
You control a grandmother holding a basket at the bottom of the screen. Items fall from the sky: eggs, tomatoes, and watermelons. Your job is to move her left and right, catching the eggs while avoiding the produce. Each egg adds to your score, but a tomato makes you lose two eggs from your total. A watermelon is worse; it ends your turn immediately. The game lasts only 30 seconds, so you're constantly shifting, making quick decisions as the items fall faster. It feels frantic and a little silly, a test of simple reflexes where a single mistake can undo your progress.
