Fish Truck Overview
Fish Truck was one of those simple, straightforward games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick distraction, the kind of thing you'd play for a few minutes between other tasks. The premise was immediately clear, and it loaded in a browser without any fuss.
You control a truck driver hauling a load of fish. The moment to moment play involves steering your truck left and right along a road. Birds fly in from above, attempting to swoop down and steal fish from your open trailer. You use your mouse to aim a turret mounted on the cab and click to shoot them down. Your main objective is to protect your cargo until you reach the end of the route. Along the way, you pass shops where you can spend your earnings on upgrades, like better weapons or perhaps more armor for the truck. The pacing is constant, with birds arriving in steady waves that require your attention to split between driving and shooting. It feels like a juggling act, a test of your ability to manage two simple but demanding tasks at once.
