Fish For Food Overview
You control a fish, moving it with your mouse through a side-scrolling ocean. The moment-to-moment play involves swimming around to eat smaller fish while carefully avoiding any that are larger than you. Your main objective is to grow from a small fry into the biggest fish in the sea. Recognizable mechanics include collecting extra lives that appear as icons and watching the row of signs at the bottom of the screen, which display which fish species are currently safe to eat. The pacing is steady, with the difficulty coming from the increasingly crowded waters and the need for quick reflexes to dodge predators. It feels like a constant, tense game of cat and mouse, or rather, fish and fish.
