Firetruck Overview
Firetruck was one of those simple, direct games you'd find in the Flash era. It didn't need a complicated story or fancy graphics. You just got in the truck and went to work. The game captured that specific feeling of a quick, single-objective browser game from that time.
You control a red fire engine from a top-down perspective. The moment-to-moment play is about navigating narrow, grid-like streets to reach a burning building. You accelerate forward, brake carefully to avoid overshooting turns, and reverse when you get stuck. Your main tool is the water cannon, activated with the spacebar, which you must aim at the flames. The challenge comes from the tight time limit and the precise maneuvering required; the truck has a wide turning circle, and the streets feel cramped. The game moves at a steady, urgent pace, pushing you to be efficient with both your driving and your aim. It feels like a race against the clock where every second and every turn matters.
