Fire Helicopter was one of those simple, direct games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't have a complicated backstory or a long list of features. You just got in and started playing. The year it came out isn't something I clearly remember, and the developer's name isn't widely known. It was just there, a straightforward part of that online gaming landscape.
You control a red helicopter with the arrow keys, flying it over a top-down map of green land and spreading orange fire. Your job is to stop a forest fire from consuming everything. You fly to a blue water source, press space to fill your bucket, then navigate over the flames to release the water. The fire spreads steadily if you're slow, creating a constant pressure to be efficient. The challenge comes from managing your water supply while the fire grows in multiple directions. It feels like a race against a predictable but relentless force.
