Elemental Turret Defence Overview
Elemental Turret Defence was one of those games you'd find buried in a Flash portal during the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple, functional title that told you exactly what you were getting. You'd load it up in your browser, and for a few minutes, it was a reliable way to pass the time.
You control the placement of turrets along a winding path, using your mouse to click and drag them onto the map. The main objective is to stop waves of enemies from reaching the end of that path. The turrets are themed around elements like fire and ice, each with different effects. You earn money from defeating enemies, which you then spend on upgrading your existing towers or building new ones. The pacing starts slow, letting you learn the paths, but the difficulty ramps up steadily as the waves introduce faster and tougher units. It feels like a quiet, methodical puzzle where a single misplaced tower can unravel your entire defense.
