Death Junior Overview
Death Junior was one of those games you'd find buried in a Flash portal around 2009 or so. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple, grungy title screen that promised a bit of chaotic fun. It fit right in with that era of browser games where you could jump in for a few minutes between other tasks, expecting something straightforward and a little silly.
You control a small, grim reaper-like character armed with a scythe. The core loop is simple: you run through side-scrolling levels, swinging at the zombies that shamble toward you. Your main goal is to survive each wave and reach the exit. The game introduces a few twists, like being able to pick up and throw the flaming heads of defeated enemies to ignite others. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty ramps up steadily as more enemy types appear in tighter spaces. It feels like a scrappy, fast-paced brawl where you're constantly managing the space around you.
