D-evo Overview
D-evo was one of those games you'd find in the late 2000s, tucked away on a Flash portal. It didn't have a big name behind it, but it had a clear, simple idea. You were there to play a card game, but the cards were dinosaurs, and the arena was a digital table.
You control a hand of creature cards, each with its own attack and health values. Your mouse clicks everything. You summon a dinosaur onto your side of the field, then target your opponent's creatures to attack. The main objective is straightforward: reduce your opponent's life points to zero before they do the same to you. The mechanics are familiar to anyone who has played a digital card battler. You manage a limited pool of energy to play your cards, and you often have to decide between defending or pushing for damage. The pacing is quick, with each match lasting only a few minutes, but the difficulty can spike as you progress. It feels like a brisk, tactical puzzle where a single misplayed card can cost you the round.
