Boom Boom Boomer Overview
Boom Boom Boomer was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It had that simple, colorful look common to many browser games of the time. You played as Boomerman, a character tasked with a straightforward rescue mission on a tropical island.
You control Boomerman from a side view, moving left and right with the arrow keys. The jump button lets you navigate platforms, while the spacebar fires your weapon at the various enemies that appear. Your goal is to fight through the island's inhabitants to save two captured characters, Sam and Mandy. The levels are linear, pushing you forward through environmental hazards and enemy waves. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty comes from managing your jumps while dealing with foes that approach from both sides. It feels like a quick, action focused platformer where your main job is to keep moving and shooting.
