Blobber Overview
Blobber was one of those simple, absorbing games you'd find during the Flash era. It appeared online around 2005, a time when a clever concept and clean visuals were enough to hold your attention for a good while. You controlled a single, growing blob, navigating through a series of abstract, often maze-like stages.
You guide the blob with your mouse, pushing it across the screen to consume smaller colored orbs. Each orb you eat makes your blob expand, which is necessary to reach and absorb the next size tier of targets. The main goal is straightforward: clear every orb from the level to advance. The challenge comes from the environment; you must avoid larger orbs that can destroy you on contact, and you often have to squeeze through tight passages that become trickier as your size increases. The pacing is methodical, requiring careful movement rather than speed. It feels like a quiet puzzle of growth and navigation, where a single misjudgment can undo your progress.
