Bleach Training Overview
Bleach Training was one of those Flash games you'd find on a fan site in the mid-2000s. It was a simple, straightforward experience built for fans of the anime who wanted to step into the world for a few minutes between episodes. The game didn't have the polish of a major release, but it captured the spirit of the series in a way that felt immediate and accessible.
You control Ichigo Kurosaki in a small, enclosed training ground. The moment-to-moment play involves moving with the WASD keys and executing combos with the J, K, and L keys for different sword slashes. The main objective is to defeat waves of hollows, the ghostly enemies from the show, to build up your spiritual pressure. You can also activate special skills, like Getsuga Tensho, with separate keys, usually Q and U. The pacing is quick, with enemies spawning constantly, and the difficulty comes from managing their numbers while timing your stronger attacks. It feels like a repetitive but satisfying test of your basic combo memory and reaction speed.
