Baatman Overview
Baatman was one of those Flash games you'd find on a school computer in the mid-2000s. It had that simple, blocky look common to the era, and it loaded right in your browser. You played as a little character, often just called Baatman, navigating a maze-like cityscape. The goal was straightforward, but getting there required some careful planning.
You control Baatman with the arrow keys, moving him through a grid of streets and buildings. Your main task is to destroy all the communication towers, labeled Podafone and Hairtell, by planting bombs with the spacebar. The bombs have a short fuse, so you need to move away quickly after placing one. Enemies patrol the area, and if they catch you, it's game over. The pacing is tense; you often wait for a guard to turn his back before darting into an alley. It feels like a quick puzzle where timing is everything. The game has a quiet, methodical rhythm to it, punctuated by small explosions.
