Alpha Bravo Charlie Overview
Alpha Bravo Charlie was one of those straightforward action games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, engaging way to pass time in a browser. The premise was simple and familiar for its time.
You control a military helicopter from a side view. Your job is to fly over varied terrain, locate stranded soldiers, and extract them. You use arrow keys to maneuver, which requires a light touch to avoid crashing into buildings or the ground. The Z and X keys let you fire rockets and drop bombs to clear enemy vehicles and installations that shoot at you. To actually rescue someone, you hover above them and press the spacebar to lower a winch. The pace is constant, with new targets and threats appearing as soon as you finish one task. It feels like a tense balancing act between aggressive clearance and careful rescue.
