Alien Hominid Overview
I first played Alien Hominid when Flash games were a regular part of browsing the web. It came out in 2002, made by The Behemoth. The game stood out immediately with its sharp, cartoonish art and a simple, frantic premise.
You control a small, yellow alien trying to retrieve its stolen UFO from government agents. You run through side scrolling levels, shooting a steady stream of agents who pour in from both sides of the screen. The controls are straightforward: you move, jump, and fire your weapon. A notable mechanic is the ability to leap onto an enemy's shoulders and bite their head off. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty ramps up as more enemies and projectiles fill the space. It feels chaotic and demanding, a test of reflexes where every mistake is punished.
