Turret Pong Overview
Turret Pong was one of those games you'd find in the later days of the Flash era, a simple concept that felt right at home on a browser tab. It didn't try to be more than it was, just a quick way to pass a few minutes between other tasks.
You control a small turret at the bottom of the screen, moving it left and right with the arrow keys. A ball bounces around the top half, and your job is to shoot it with your turret's projectiles to send it back toward the opponent's side. The main objective is to score points by getting the ball past the opponent's defense, but the twist is that you earn currency for each hit. You spend that currency between rounds on upgrades, like faster firing speed or different shot patterns. The pacing starts slow, but it picks up as the ball gains speed and your upgrades make the playfield more chaotic. It feels like a constant scramble to position your turret, time your shots, and manage your resources before the ball slips through.
