Stick Fighter 2 Overview
Stick Fighter 2 was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the early 2000s. It belonged to a wave of simple, browser based fighting games that used stick figure characters. The style was immediately familiar, drawing from popular anime and other web games of the time. You didn't need an account or a download. You just clicked and started playing.
You control a stick figure fighter, moving with the arrow keys or WASD. The objective is to reduce your opponent's health bar to zero before they do the same to you. You have a basic set of moves: a punch, a kick, and a projectile energy shot. Landing a special move, which often involves a combination of keys, feels like a small victory. The pacing is quick, with rounds that can end in seconds if you're not careful. The difficulty comes from learning the timing and spacing of your attacks against an aggressive opponent. It feels like a fast, chaotic test of reflexes.
