Paranormality Overview
Paranormality was one of those strange, simple games that felt right at home in the Flash era. You'd find it on a website cluttered with other quick diversions, a brief escape built for a browser. It didn't try to be more than that, and that was part of its charm.
You control a small dog, a family pet, whose home is suddenly invaded. Your goal is straightforward: rescue the baby from the clutches of the intruding aliens. You move from room to room using the arrow keys, navigating familiar household spaces that have become hostile. Jumping over obstacles with the spacebar is a constant, necessary action. The game relies on timing and basic platforming; you dodge the aliens' beams and navigate environmental hazards to reach the child. The pacing is quick, and mistakes are frequent, but each attempt is short. It feels like a frantic, slightly silly scramble through a domestic nightmare.
