Ninja Hunter Overview
Ninja Hunter was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple premise that pulled you in. You'd load it up during a break, and for a few minutes, you were in its world.
You control a lone ninja facing waves of identical attackers. The core action is typing. Words appear next to each enemy, and you have to type them correctly to defeat that ninja before they reach you. It's a direct test of speed and accuracy. As you progress, the words get longer or more complex, and enemies throw shuriken that can stun you, requiring a frantic tap of the up arrow to recover. Filling a rage bar lets you unleash a screen-clearing special attack. The pacing is relentless; a single mistyped letter can let the line of enemies advance dangerously close. It feels like a tense race between your fingers and the creeping tide of opponents.
