Little Monkey Overview
Little Monkey was one of those simple, straightforward games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick distraction, the kind of thing you'd play for a few minutes between other tasks. The visuals were bright and cartoonish, fitting right in with the other casual titles that filled gaming websites at the time.
You control a small monkey who moves automatically from left to right. Your only job is to guide its jumps, timing each leap to collect bananas and other fruit scattered across the platforms. The main objective is just to get to the end of each stage. Along the way, you have to avoid falling into gaps or touching enemies like birds or bouncing balls; contact with them reduces a life bar at the top of the screen. The pacing is steady, but the jumps require a bit of precision, and the stages gradually introduce more obstacles. It feels like a test of simple reflexes, where a mistimed button press is usually what ends your run.
