Javelin Throwing Overview
Javelin Throwing was one of those simple sports games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't have a complicated backstory or a detailed world. You just showed up to throw a javelin.
You control an athlete on a field. The core action is a two part process. First, you build power with a rapid series of clicks or by holding a button; a meter fills, and releasing it sets your strength. Then, you immediately adjust the angle of the throw. Your goal is to achieve the longest possible distance. The timing between setting the power and choosing the angle is tight, and finding the optimal combination takes practice. The game moves quickly from attempt to attempt, with each throw feeling like a self contained puzzle of physics and timing. It feels like a focused test of your own coordination.
