Golden Dragon Overview
Golden Dragon was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It fit right in with the era's straightforward side-scrolling fighters, the kind you'd play for a quick session between other tasks. The visuals were bright and cartoonish, with a fantasy theme that felt familiar from countless other games of the time.
You control a warrior, moving left and right across the screen with a simple control scheme. Your main goal is to defeat a series of enemy fighters, one after another, to progress. You have a basic sword attack and a jump, and you learn to time your strikes while avoiding your opponent's moves. The pacing is brisk, with each match lasting only a minute or so, but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly against later foes. It feels like a quick test of reflexes, a simple exchange of attacks until one fighter falls.
