Freekick Mania Overview
Freekick Mania was one of those simple Flash games you'd find in the mid-2000s. It fit right in with the era of browser based games you played for a few minutes between tasks. The setup was straightforward, a soccer penalty shootout stripped down to its essentials.
You control the kicker. With your mouse, you aim the shot by moving a targeting cursor, then click to set the power. The goalkeeper reacts, diving to block the ball. Your main goal is to score as many times as possible before your attempts run out. The mechanics involve judging the keeper's position and timing your click for the right shot strength. It starts easy, but the keeper's saves become quicker and more unpredictable. The game feels like a quick test of your focus and timing.
