Dragonball Z Overview
Back in the early 2000s, when Flash games were a staple of browser entertainment, a simple fighting game called Dragonball Z appeared. It was one of many fan-made projects that let you step into the anime's universe without any complex setup. You just clicked and played.
You control a character, often Goku, in a large, flat arena against another fighter. The moment-to-moment play is straightforward: you move with the arrow keys, close the distance, and trade blows. You punch, kick, and launch special attacks with single key presses. A fly button lets you maneuver quickly or escape pressure. The main objective is to deplete your opponent's health bar before they do the same to you. Matches are fast and direct, with a difficulty that spikes if you don't learn the timing of your moves. It feels like a quick, scrappy brawl that captures the spirit of the show in a basic, functional way.
